Out of What Need Was the Wellbeing Association Born?
Wellbeing is an indicator of the overall quality of life, and the wellbeing lifestyle that I have integrated into my life since 2011 has elevated my life to a better point in every sense. In addition to the preventative medicine certification programs we conduct under the umbrella of Yükselen Çağ Wellbeing Academy, which I founded, sharing this information with large masses who want to create a state of feeling better is our greatest motivation as the Board of Directors of the Wellbeing Association.
Wellbeing has not been a luxury for a long time; following the pandemic, awareness programs and publications aimed at elevating individuals' quality of life rose rapidly worldwide. The necessity of embedding work-life balance, which is an important determinant of holistic health and well-being, into corporate cultures under the name of corporate wellbeing has clearly emerged.
“As the Holistic Health and Wellbeing Association, we aim to protect individual, corporate, and public health; and to elevate the state of holistic health and awareness in work, private, social, and digital life.”
Common Ground with Global Wellbeing Conferences
There are many universities, NGOs, and research organizations worldwide that have begun working on this subject. Particularly, studies conducted by GALLUP and the Oxford Wellbeing Research Center, established within Oxford University, are among the most reputable and comprehensive references in the field of wellbeing.
- We see that the awareness of the corporate world regarding wellbeing is increasing rapidly in Turkey; companies are becoming increasingly involved in the Wellbeing at Work approach.
- In terms of providing data and statistics, the goal is to expand academic research to larger audiences and contribute to international data.
Whom Does Wellbeing Appeal To?
The audience of the conference mostly consists of professionals who have heard of wellbeing before, individuals who have received training on this subject in their companies, brands investing in the future, HR and training directors, doctors in the fields of integrative medicine and functional medicine, academics, and graduates of the Wellbeing Coach Certification Program.
Wellbeing is a state of balance consisting of physical, mental, emotional, and social components that expresses individuals' overall quality of life and satisfaction. To integrate this concept into life, one must first create space for themselves, set feeling better as an intention, and start with small but sustainable steps.
What Does Wellbeing Involve?
Wellbeing is the main overarching term that brings together conscious daily choices that provide balance across human physical, mental, and spiritual bodies with simultaneous balance in career, financial, social, and environmental life. It also encompasses wellness practices but is not limited solely to fitness, nutrition, and spa applications.
In short, wellbeing refers to a balanced and harmonious life within our work life, social life, financial status, and the environment we live in, alongside our physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Meditation and the Changing Perception
Over the last 12 years, significant positive progress has been made regarding meditation in Turkey. Meditation is not a practice that should be associated with any religion; it is a scientific technique for resting the mind. By purifying the mind from unnecessary thoughts, it supports the individual in approaching their true potential.
Ebru Şinik states that her introduction to meditation and Ayurveda created a transformative effect in her life; she has taught scientifically-backed meditation to thousands of people and closely observed the effects of regular practice on the quality of life.
What Meditation Can Bring to Our Lives
Meditation is a practice where we step out of the state of "doing" and transition into the state of "being". Its positive effects on body, mind, and soul health have been examined by many international studies for long years.
- Helps reduce stress.
- Supports sleep quality.
- Contributes to the reduction of anxiety, worry, and fears.
- Can strengthen focus and concentration.
- Supports creativity and intuition.
- Facilitates a more balanced and non-judgmental attitude in relationships.
- Can increase the sense of inner peace and mental clarity.
